We are preparing for our seventh year of performing during AirVenture week. Join fellow musical aviation enthusiasts for this year's band. Learn more about the band under the About tab on this website. Get current updates concerning the band on our Facebook page.
The music is being sorted and soon will be distributed via email to those who have registered. This year the band will be playing:
Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines
Salute to America’s Finest (Armed Forces Medley)
The Great Waldo Pepper
The Song “Sound of Music”
This is My Country
Salute to America
The Dam Busters March
Please print and bring all of your music with you to the first rehearsal at AirVenture. Take your time learning your parts. We will only have time to go through the music a few times before the concert and it is so important for you to know it before you get to Oshkosh. One of the main problems over the past few years has been balance, blend and tuning. Tuning has been a big issue and is hard to work out with the amount of time we have. So bring your ears and adjust!
Ice Cream Social - Monday afternoon: We never really have the time to get to talk with each other so this year we will have an ice cream social. Details will be coming soon but it looks like it MIGHT be at Theater in the Woods at 5:00 on Monday.
Rehearsals and performances: Rehearsal times and places are still being worked out at this time. It looks like we will rehearse Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. rehearsal area TBA. Wednesday's rehearsal may be at 1:00 pm at the Theater in the Woods. The concert is scheduled for Theater in the Woods, Wednesday starting at 7:00 pm. And will finish in time for the night air show we'll meet before the concert behind the Theater at 6:00.
Once again we have the opportunity to perform the National Anthem on Tuesday afternoon at the start of the air show. The music may be downloaded HERE.
The AirVenture Band played on Wednesday in the Honda Pavilion at 5:30 pm, before the nighttime air show. Click here to watch our performance.
